The kit contains an American oak barrel, stand and spigot, as well as complete instructions on how to prepare your barrel prior to filling it with vinegar. It also comes with your Starter Culture (mother), and the book Making Vinegar at Home.
The 8 oz. of Vinegar Mother will make 32 oz. of Wine Vinegar.
The 32 oz. of Vinegar Mother will make 128 oz. of Wine Vinegar. (This size is not recommended for the 1 gallon barrel.)
Note: Our barrels are hand-made and many of the smaller units can have small visual defects that can add to the charm but will not affect the use of the barrel.
