Calculator for Acid Additions

"Acid rate addition" means that difference between desired TA and current TA

A handy formula for the DIY crowd taken from Dan Warrick's excellent book - The Way to Make Wine:

volume of must x 0.8 = volume of finished wine

(desired TA - original TA [in g/100ml]) x gallons of finished wine x 3.785 [liters per gallon] x 10 = grams of tartaric acid to add

This year's harvest is looking like it will be typical, starting in late-August (White grapes) and ending in September to early-October (Red grapes).
