Our yeast nutrient (Superfood®) contains primary-grown, fully autolyzed yeast extract and yeast hulls, along with DAP (33%), complex minerals and vitamins. Fully autolyzed yeast components are completely digestible during fermentation, delivering 100% of their value. They are more costly to produce, and as a result are often not offered in competing nutrient blends.
Recommended dosage: 1 oz. total per 30 gals. of juice or 500# of crushed fruit. Add ½ of total amount on 2nd day of fermentation and ½ on the 5th day or when the hydrometer reading is 10-12 brix.
